For the current academic year, 2022 – 2023, we will receive (£1510) Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) funding.

The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is an additional sum of money paid to childcare providers for children of families in receipt of certain benefits. This funding will be used to enhance the quality of their early years’ experience by improving the teaching and learning and facilities and resources, with the aim of impacting positively on your child’s progress and development. For more information, please visit https://www.gov.uk/get-extra-early-years-funding

Our intention is that all pupils, irrespective of their background or the challenges they face, make good progress and meet their child development milestones The focus of our pupil premium strategy is to support disadvantaged pupils to achieve that goal, including progress for those who are already high attainers.

We recognise the impact that Covid has had on young children’s development and will use the additional funding to support children’s language skills.

In the academic year 2022/2023, we will receive £1510. We will provide:

  • Language intervention groups and Forest School sessions (led by a qualified Forest School practitioner) that provide rich opportunities to learn and use new language.
  • We will also provide high quality story books for children to read at home with their parents.

We will regularly monitor children’s progress and the impact of our work through our OP&L observation and assessment system.

Ofsted Outstanding
  • Parents commented that, even the small things, like the issuing of fridge magnets with a picture of their children’s key worker, really helped their children to get ready for their time at the school and to settle in swiftly. Right from day one, there is a friendly face to meet and greet them.

    Ofsted

  • You have a clear vision for the school and are supported by excellent practitioners at every level. You and your team reflect continually on what is best for the children in your care.

    Ofsted

  • Together, you research effective education practice, tailoring it to support the development needs of every child. As a result, all children make substantial gains in their learning. They are very well prepared for primary school.
